Pálházi State Forest Railway
Regéc, 3893
The Pálháza State Forest Railway, a narrow-gauge railway running through the Zemplén Mountains, is among the oldest operating forest railways in Hungary. Its most distinctive feature is its route through an increasingly narrow valley. Near the Kőkapu stop, the train passes through a tunnel carved into the rock known as the "Stone Gate," running beneath a beautifully situated hunting lodge.
