Tuzson János Botanical Garden

The Tuzson János Botanical Garden in Nyíregyháza, next to the Sóstó Forest, is home to more than 3,500 plant species and varieties. Visitors can explore tropical plants, orchids, palms and carnivorous plants in the greenhouses, while the outdoor areas feature a Japanese garden, rose garden, herb garden and many unique tree species. Children especially enjoy the hedge maze made of 550 thuja trees, the Huszárvár playground, the giant water lilies and the fascinating swamp cypresses. Squirrels and a variety of bird species can also be spotted throughout the garden.
